Hyderabad: The Telangana CM KCR kept his promise and visited Mamatanagar in Nagole to inspect whether there was any improvement in the colony after his previous visit. He had promised to return to the colony the subsequent but could not make it.
“The colony now looks a better place. There is no garbage; the roads are good with no potholes. It was possible because of the collective effort of the residents, GHMC officials and staff.
This proves that with the cooperation of the people we can turn Hyderabad into a clean, green and global city,” Mr Rao said during his interaction with the residents. He praised the colony association and residents for making it a safe and smart colony by installing CCTV cameras.
Mr Rao said the government was planning to divide the city into 330 categories. Each category would be handed to public representatives starting from him and including ministers, legislators and corporators to maintain.
The Governor would also be roped in. He urged residents to ensure cleanliness in their surroundings and promised to supply saplings free of cost. Residents from the surrounding colonies also thronged Mamatanagar holding placards requesting the Chief Minister to visit their colonies.
