Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao today met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and urged him to implement the assurances given in the Reorganization Act. He made an appeal to increase the drought relief to Rs 3064 crore. Other demands of KCR include: Making Kaleswaram as a national project; funds for ITIR; increase the FRBM limit; Recognize the proposed Tribal University as Central varsity; Rs 10,000 crore for Mission Bhagiratha; Rs 30,000 crore as grant for the next four years. Later the Chief Minister met minister for power Piyush Goayal and discussed with him to speed up the 24×7 power supply project. He has also urged on corridor so that the state can draw power from Chattisgarh.
