KCR Moots Metro Rail to Yadadri

Hyderabad-MetroThe chief minister KCR government which wants to develop Yadadri on the lines of Tirupati, moots metro rail to the pilgrim centre. He instructed the officials to explore the feasibility of laying the metro line from Uppal ring road to the rock where Narasimha Swamy temple is situated. The government is already spending Rs.100 crores per year for the development of Yadadri. An amount of Rs.200 crores per kilo meter is to be spent to lay metro line to the temple. The distance from Uppal ring road to Yadadri is 50 kilo meters. Hence Rs.10000 are needed for this project. The state government wants to implement this project through PPP because of the huge expenditure involved. There is steady increase in the flow of devotees to this temple town thanks to the development works undertaken by the government. A high speed metro train will go a long way in this direction.
