KCR, Naidu Pay Tributes to Police Martyrs

Untitled-13The Chief Ministers of bifurcated states Andhra Pradesh and Telangana took part in a procession to pay tribute to the police on Tuesday in separate events.

October 21 is observed as the Police Commemoration Day throughout India.

Telangana CM K Chandrasekhara Rao attended procession at Shivkumar Lal Stadium in Hyderabad where he took part in the police commemoration pararde along with Governor ESL Narsimhan, N Narasimha Reddy, state Home minister and DGP Anurag Sharma. KCR announced the increased compensation to the martyred policemen in Telangana.

Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Nara Chandrababu Naidu took part in a procession in Vijayawada. Mr. Naidu paid tributes to the martyred policemen. Naidu also announce a corpus fund of Rs. 10 Crore for welfare of policemen.

Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Chinna Rajappa and Director General of Police J.V. Ramudu were also present to pay tribute to martyrs.
