Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has decided to computerise the planning and administration departments and begin online sanctions for layouts, construction and land use changes by month end as part of efforts to check bribery. He has decided to set right the HMDA. Over 80 officers and staff working on deputation have been transferred to their respective departments. The cm has now focussed his attention on administrative matters. Officers are preparing a plan to stamp out corruption. Software is also being readied. Besides, efforts are also on to provide latest position of the applicants through their mobile or mail.
The cm has already given permission for land use changes in about 250 files and indicated that a review must be made on the same. The cm wants to cancel permission where there are discrepancies in the files. Officers decided to examine again permissions given by HMDA since December last. In the wake of allegations about rampant graft in the HMDA, municipal officers have prepared a ground level enquiry. Irregularities in road constructions , layouts and master plans came to light. Authorities are getting ready to initiate action against the corrupt.
