Former Chief Minister of Delhi and Aam Aadmi Party Convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday asked the Lt. Governor Najeeb Yar Jung to revise his letter to President Pranab Mukherjee. Kejriwal also urged the Lt. Governor to ask the President to not to invite BJP to form government in Delhi in the wake of the sting operation conducted by his party in which a BJP leader, Sher Singh Dagar, had tried to bribe AAP MLAs.
Kejriwal said, “We have received a letter from the court in which Lt. Governor Najeeb Jung had written to the President that he would be very happy if the President called the BJP to form a government in Delhi”.
AAP Convenor added, “I have been trying to meet the LG since yesterday, and we will finally be meeting him tomorrow morning. The LG needs to revise his letter to the President and tell him that BJP shouldn’t be invited to form a government in Delhi after the sting”.
“Yesterday, I had released a recorded footage of BJP leader Sher Singh Dagar trying to bribe AAP MLAs. I will be submitting a copy of the CD to the LG. It is the responsibility of the LG to make sure that things go according to the Constitution, but the kind of steps the BJP is taking is completely unconstitutional”, said Kejriwal.
