Kiran tries Supreme tack in a face saving exercise


Andhra Pradesh’s last CM Kiran Kumar Reddy has approached the Supreme Court over the state division. He filed a case in the SC this morning along with the congress suspended MPs Undavalli Arun Kumar, Rayapati Sambashiva Rao, Sabbam Hari.

There are tweleve such cases waiting to be heard in the Supreme Court. The present case will come up before the SC bench tomorrow morning.

Mean while, Kiran is also said to have intensified his efforts to announce a new party in the last few days. He is expected to make an announcement any time today or tomorrow. Shailajanath who has been a staunch ally of Kiran along with Lagadapati has been having constant discussions with Kiran in Hyderabad. As the slogan and major theory of the party would be ‘Samaikyandhra’, Kiran is said to be looking for a momentum to announce the party and hence the move in Supreme Court, analysts say.

Kiran has also called for a meeting with the six suspended MPs of Congress this afternoon and there might be a press meet this evening to announce the party, sources say.
