Virat Kohli continued his perfect form and guided India to score a respectable score of 192 in the stipulated 20 overs against a formidable in the semi-final of Twenty-20 World Cup. He scored an unbeaten 89 off 49 balls.
Put into bat by the west Indies, India had a splendid start with Rohit Sharma scoring a quick fire 43 off 31 balls. Ajinkya Rahane who came in the place of Shikhar Dhawan played rather cautiously and scored 41 off 38 balls. Together with Kohli, he took the score pass 100 mark. After Rahane’s exit, Dhoni has promoted himself in the batting order and both Kohli and Dhoni kept the scoreboard moving at a faster pace. Surviving two lifes due to a poor fielding by west Indies, Kohli powered his way to a tremendous score of 89.
