Kohli joined Azhar and Sachin

Team India’s new captain, Virat Kohli has achieved a new record for himself for playing more than 100 matches consecutively for the country. He now finds place beside Mohammad Azharuddin and Sachin Tendulkar in this feat. Azhar had played 126 matches without interruption for the country, while Sachin played a record 185 matches without taking a break. Kohli bettered the legends in the record by achieving the task in the shortest span. He debuted for the country in August 2010.

He has played 132 matches so far with 19 hundreds, 30 half centuries scoring 5,581 runs. His runs tally and century’s record too is better than any other batsmen in the world
