The much anticipated industrial policy of the newly formed Telangana state will be announced in the Assembly in couple of days while IT Minister KT Rama Rao introduced ‘The Telangana State Industrial Project Approval and Self-Certification System, (TS-IPASS) Bill-2014’ on Tuesday.
The bill proposes establishment of ‘Telangana State-wide Investment Facilitation Board (TSWIFT)’ ensuring a friendly environment to the investors. The proposed TSWIFT will be chaired by the Chief Secretary of the state. The board will provide provisional approvals within 15 days of receipt of self-certified applications after a preliminary scrutiny which will be done twice a week.
KT Rama Rao claimed that the industrial policy of the state will be the best in the industry.
