On Sunday while talking to the media person IT Minister said that the Government targets to create 20 lakh direct and indirect employment opportunities under the policy. And this new policy would give more thrust to creation of employment and the establishment of IT companies in tier-II cities.
As per KTR, this year IT sector had registered 16 per cent growth. The government would ensure the growth trend to surge ahead by taking several measures, including making Hyderabad an attractive destination for investments. He hoped the blue chip companies like Google, WhatsApp and Facebook would set up their R& D units. Since the new policy would provide sops to the companies which come forward to set up R&D units in Telangana.
Earlier, to finalize the modalities of the new IT policy the minister held a meeting with IT Secretary Harpreet Singh and other officials.
