LDF wins Kerala, loses miserably in Bengal

vsProving exit poll results, the opposition Left Democratic Front led by Marxist Communist Party has won the elections, defeating the Congress-led UDF by a convincing margin. Out of a total of 140 seats, LDF appears to win 81 and UDF may bag49 seats. VS AChutanandan is likely to become the Chief Minister and may create history by becoming the oldest CM in the country. He is now 93.

But the Marxists failed miserably in West Bengal as the fire brand TMC leader Mamata Banerjee delivered a deadly blow. The TMC is quite ahead in around 201 out of 294 seats. Left may post win in just around 70 seats. The BJP too gained good by establishing leads in 12 seats. The crushing defeat left the Marxist completely in disarray.
