Shiv Sena founder Bal Thackeray was very much in the hit list of Lashkar-e-Taiba, disclosed Pakistani-American terrorist David Coleman Headley on Friday. “I tried to develop close relations with a Shiv Sena member in the process. I understand Lashkar-e-Taiba was interested to either attack Sena Bhawan or “assassinate its head”, he told a Mumbai court . This is the fourth day of his deposition through a video link from an undisclosed destination in US.
“I met one Rajaram Rege inside Shiv Sena Bhawan in Dadar during 2006-2007. In learnt some inner details about Shiv Sena Bhavan as well as daily schedule of Bal Thackeray” he said.
He made this revelation to Special Public Prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam who asked him about his other assignments in Mumbai prior to the attack in 2008.
Headley has also made friendship with Rahul Bhat, son of Mahesh Bhat, prominent Bollywood director.
