On Tuesday in Bhadrachalam at Sitaramachandra Swamy temple here gave darshan to devotees in Krishna Avataram as part of Vaikunta Ekadasi Adhyayanotsavams, the presiding deity. The Lord first gave darshan to devotees at Beda Mandapam in the temple. Later, amidst rendering of ‘Hare Krishna Hare Rama’ by devotees, women devotees performing kolattam and to the accompaniment of traditional music, the processional deity was taken from the main temple to Midhila Stadium. Lord Krishna was born as the 8th child to Devaki and Vasudeva.
King Narakasura and cruel uncle Kamsa were killed by Lord Krishna. He explained the essence of Bhagavadgita to Arjuna during the Kurukshetra war between the Pandavas and Kouravas. Devotees believe that they get relieved of their troubles such as Chandra Graha if they worship Lord Krishna.
On Wednesday in River Godavari the idols of Lord Rama and Goddess Sita will be taken in a procession here during Teppotsavam which will be held between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.
