Telangana Government has inching towards resolving the contentious Mallanna Sagar issue in Medak district, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao disclosed today. Speaking to villagers of his adopted village Yerravalli , he said he is trying to close the issue in a day or two. “once it is resolved, we would have plenty of water at Kaleswaram, which will be an ocean-like. There would be no water problem for irrigation in the next couple of years. Godavari will change the irrigation scenario in a big way” he said.
Stating that dry spell due to El Nino which doomed India for nearly twenty years has been over and with the advent of La Nino, Telangana is poised for continuous rains for the next six to 12 years, he said.
The Chief Minister has called for unity among villagers irrespective of caste and creed. “Let’s work for the benefit of all and only then we will proper” he added.
