It all started on 5th November 2013, the launch was perfect, the space weather has been rough so far, but everything is per the plans. There were many ground simulation done and now a crucial test in space was successfully performed. The ISRO mentioned that once the main rocket is fired, the Mangalyaan’s speed will be regulated and its trajectory will also be perfectly set.
This process will put the Mangalyaan in the Red Planets Orbit, on the 24th of September.
As per the ISRO sources “all commands have been uploaded and the satellite will perform the task automatically”. They also mentioned the mission is planned perfectly, but still they have plan b, and plan c just in case.
The team is confident as the Big Rocket Motor on Mangalyaan was perfect in its past many missions since 1992. Now everyone is looking forward for the successful completion of this so far 9 month long journey
