Sirikonda Madhusudanachari, TRS MLA from Bhupalapalli has been chosen unanimously as the first Speaker of Telanagana’s assembly. Pro tem speaker Janareddy has announced his election this morning and Mr. Chari has assumed his office while all the major leaders of different parties accompanied him to the Chair.
CM KCR has congratulated the speaker on his election to the respectable position in Telangana’s first assembly. He reminisced on the decades of association they had together. He has expressed confidence that under the Chair’s guidance, the newly elected legislative house of Telangana will strive towards fulfilling all the hopes of the region henceforth.
Madhusudanachari is a well educated person, who joined TDP at a young age from the inception of that party. He was elected for the first time to the assembly in 1994 from Sayampet constituency. He decided to support KCR right from the proposal to fight for Telangana in 2001 and has been with him since then. He is one of the very few persons who have remained with TRS right from before the birth of the party. Madhusudanachari had contested from the Bhupalapalli seat in 2009, but lost the election to win again from the same seat in the recent election.
Madhusudanachari’s candidature for the speaker’s seat is proposed by KCR and supported by all party leaders and he has been elected unanimously.
