The L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad Limited (LTMRHL), the company that is undertaking the Metro Rail project of Hyderabad, has informed that the budget of the project has escalated by Rs 2,500 Crore to Rs.3,000 Crore.
The chief executive and managing director of LTMRHL V B Gadgil told reporters on Tuesday. He also added that the project is in a “very very critical mode”.
He also informed that the 28% of the work has been done and the firm will overcome all the challenges to complete the project.
The project was signed in 2010 with the cost being Rs 14,132 Crore.
The metro rail is being built in Hyderabad by LTMRHL in a Public Private Partnership.
