L&T Hyderabad Metro Rail managing director and CEO Vivek B Gadgil clarified that changes in alignment in some areas has not been made by the State Government so far which resulted in the delay of works. He said that route map was already sent to the government. With the changes in route the track length also increased which hiked the cost of the project. Other reasons like traffic and power problems also added to the delay, he said. But in other areas works are going on in full swing. Railway stations and road over bridges were ready at some places. In view of these developments the metro rail may not be completed as per schedule. But it is bound to hit the regular traffic in peak hours. RTC fleet run has been disturbed due to the works in progress.
