“Missing” IAS officer is in Telangana Allotment list

Randeep-SudanIn Hyderabad “Missing” IAS officer Randeep Sudan has been in allotment list of Telangana. Where the Centre and the state governments are clueless whether or not he is still in service.

He is an IT whiz of Mr. N. Chandrababu Naidu when he was CM of undivided AP between 1995 and 2004. After this he moved to the World Bank in January 2005 when YSR became the CM. His deputation ended in 2007 but he has not reported back.

He failed to report back even the extension of his deputation by 2 more years, which ended in 2009 to the state government.

The TS government now wants to pursue the case with the DoPT, seeking action against Mr. Sudan if he fails to report back to the state government.

“This is one of those rare cases. The issue has been taken up with Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, who asked chief secretary Rajiv Sharma to seek clarity on the Sudan issue with the DoPT. The chief secretary will be in Delhi on Monday and he will meet DoPT officials over the issue” a senior IAS officer remarked.
