Straphanger from Safilguda, East and West Anandbagh and Malkajgiri travelling to Hitec City in first class MMTS compartments complain of navigators with ‘General’ ticket or passes boarding the compartments every day, while ticket checkers and security guards are rarely spotted during working hours to lodge complaint.
V. Suresh Kumar, working at Aurobindo Pharmacy, Miyapur and resident of Anandbagh, said, “I stand at the entrance of the compartment and tell people that it is ‘first class,’ but they still barge in. Trampers purchase first class tickets to avoid the rush and to get seat. He said wait is the use of first class standing infront. There should be different colours to identify first class compartments.” Most travellers also complain that punctuality is MMTS trains are a big problem.
“Every day MMTS arrives often late, commuters enter whichever compartment is vacant, irrespective of the class. The security and the TTS are always absent. Commuting in MMTS from Falaknuma to Hitec City City is no less than incurs.
During working hours there is always a heavy rush due to which travellers, including women, travel on the footboard,” added Arvind Shetty, a resident of Seethaphal mandi. On many occasions people have fallen off moving trains due to the rush.
The South Central Railway authorities state that passengers can lodge a complaint on the toll free number 1322 and their howl to 8121281212 with details of the station and the train.
