MMTS To Yadadri

MMTS The chief minister KCR wrote a letter to Railway minister Suresh Prabhu to extend the second phase of the MMTS upto Rayagiri for the benefit of the devotees who visit the pilgrim centre Yadagirigutta. The CM informed in his letter that the state government already acquired 2000 acres of land for this purpose. He said that 20,000 devotees visit the shrine everyday and during the weekend their number will be 40,000 to 50,000. If the master plan to make Yadadri, as the second Tirupati is completed, a lakh devotees a day would visit the pilgrim centre. He detailed that the second phase of the 21 km route of MMTS from Secunderabad to Ghatkesar is to be completed by the end of the economic year. He requested that the line be extended upto Rayagiri and change the name of the railway station as Yadadri. He said that two thirds of the expenditure would be borne by the state government.
