Mobile app for EPF members

unnamed (1)Minister of State for Labour & Employment Bandaru Dattatraya launched new mobile based services for EPF members – Mobile Application, SMS based UAN Activation and Missed Call service on the eve of the 208th meeting of the Central Board of Trustees (EPF) on September 15, in Hyderabad. From www.epfindia.gov.in, members could activate UAN accounts through their mobiles app and access their accounts for viewing monthly credits through the passbook and details with EPFO. EPF pensioners can also access pension disbursement details through mobile app. Employer can also view their remittance details. Dattatraya also launched SMS based UAN activation service which enables members to activate their accounts by sending an SMS to 7738299899 making the activation easier. Once activated, the member is eligible to all services envisaged in UAN programme – credit alerts, passbook. The new service is helpful to members who may not have access to computers or smart phones.
