Modi asks Chief Ministers to ignore differences of parties

modiPrime Minsiter Narendra Modi on Wednesday expressed that the the development of states is a requirement for India to progress. He advocated the state-centre relations to be held like a team.

Modi was speaking at Tumkur, Karnataka during a inaugural function of a food park. He said, “We’ve to understand the feelings of the states and we’ve to work together to implement schemes.”

“When states become stronger, the nation will become stronger; when states progress, the nation will progress,” he added.

“A country can’t run like this. They (Centre and states) have to work as a team. Prime Minister and Chief Ministers can be from different parties, but the country is one,” said Modi.

Modi also asked the Chief Ministers to ignore the parties they have come from. He said, “Prime Minister and Chief Ministers can be from different parties, but the country is one”.
