Yesterday, at Amethi, BJP gallop horse Narendra Modi has declared that Gandhis are full of upper caste arrogance. He gave anecdotes of Andhra CM Anjaiah being insulted, Sonia necking out Sitaram Kesri, the insults PV Narasimha Rao had to face even after death etc. He had also called Priyanka’s questioning Smriti Irani’s identity a display of the same arrogance. He has also tweeted that Congress is accusing him of low level politics as he is from a backward caste.

Modi’s attack has brought out tough reactions from all the Gandhis. Rahul continued with the same objections he had been airing on Modi and his “Watchman to the Country” duty. “I am requesting Modi to bring lokayukta and then see the results,” Rahul said at Allahabad yesterday. “It is often the watchman who indulges in theft and chances of theft increase with a single watchman. What Modi, the self-proclaimed watchman of Gujarat, has been doing is providing benefits to one favored industrial group at the cost of farmers,” Rahul said.

Sonia Gandhi referred to his “Dil Maange More” slogan and said: “Your heart is seeking only power, and for that you have stooped so low that you are now insulting martyrs,” said Sonia Gandhi.

But the toughest criticism, anger filled criticism has come, naturally from Priyanka Gandhi. Priyanka’s warning to Modi was emotional and clearly focused on the upcoming polls too. She said: “They have insulted my martyred father on the soil of Amethi. People of Amethi will never forgive them for this act. Workers in Amethi will reply to their low-level politics. There will be reply from each and every poll booth of Amethi.”

Congress has also said that Modi’s caste card play shows his last minute desperation and tokenism and he is resorting to caste polarisation.

As a little more than 120 seats are left in the two poll sessions, the name calling and hurling abuses is going to reach the highest decibel, but the majority public of the Country has already made its decision which are currently trapped in the EVMs.
