Modi’s Call to Scientists

MODI (2)The Prime minister Narendra Modi called upon the scientists to work for human welfare and economic development as their goal. He said that his government made satisfactory progress towards empowerment and generation of employment opportunities. Inaugurating the 103rd Indian Science Congress in Mysore, Karnataka, Mr. Modi said that he was happy to inaugurate this science congress in the beginning of new year. He said that great leaders hailed from Mysore University. Saying that the journey of the Indian Science Congress and the Mysore University began at the same time, he opined that good governance would be possible only through the development of science and technology. He said that his government would strive to eradicate poverty by 2030. He unveiled the document of Technology Vision – 2035 and presented 30 scientists with mementoes. Ten thousand national and international scientists attended the conference.
