Modi’s defeat in US, London papers

Newspapers in London and US highlighted the defeat of PM Modi and
analysts said that it would leave an impact on his influence abroad as
he had toured in all almost all big countries in 17 months. He earned
a sort of craze overseas having met NRIs in special meetings.
Guardian: మోthe paper described his defeat as a big hit and a personal
loss as the Bihar election stood as a test to his magic show.
Independent: BJP lost despite a big campaign through 30 public
meetings. The loss was due to neglecting the local issues and
undervaluing leaders, said the analysts.
New York Times:  Discontent brewing up for the last 17 months against
PM Modi was expressed and Bihar election results testified it,
according to an article by the paper. Further, blaming each other
within the party and encouraging the Hindu religion while overlooking
the development induced the voters to discard Modi.
