Muslim-Buddhist Violence in Southern Srilanka causes three deaths

New kind of ethnic violence in Srilanka, between Buddhist extremist sects and Muslims have resulted in the deaths of at least three persons and over 40 injured in the Southern part of the island nation. There was a media blackout of the incidents so that the events do not spread into other parts of the country. Buddhist Monks belonging to Bodu Bala Sena are reported to have given open calls for punishing muslims over reports of fights between the groups.
