Muslims angry with TDP?

The BJP Telangana creation celebratory meeting at Nizam College ground limited itself to highlighting BJP’s role in Telangana creation. Seemandhra leader Venkayya Naidu’s pictures were missing from the arena in a clear indication. Party President Raj Nath Singh and party leader in Rajya Sabha, Arun Jaitley separately made appeals to both regions to lead separate lives like brothers and prosper. They have also appealed for maximum support to the party for a stable central government.

What the party leaders did not openly declare, but indicated in closed discussion with other leaders is the possibility of tie up with TDP. As long as the merger. tie up options were still being considered between TRS and Congress, BJP did not show any interest in a tie up particularly in Telangana region. The almost hour long discussion with Sujana Chowdary by Arun Jaitley, Prakash Javadekar and Raj Nath Singh clearly shows that the game plan of both parties has changed.

Not too long ago, in 2011 Maha Nadu, TDP Chief Chandra Babu has regretted his earlier tie up with BJP in an attempt to get closer to the Muslim minorities. Now looking at the possibility of BJP appearing like true Seemandhra champions after the Parliament performances, TDP is pushed towards resuming the old friendship so as not to lose any votes/ seats on the count. The probability of power sharing with the front runner BJP in the center also cannot be ruled out. Now that TDP will be a national party, the intention to play a larger role at the national level seems to have necessitated the move.

But how will TDP now placate Muslims who will not accept any association with Modi? Some muslim leaders of TDP are already considering leaving the party, as per inside information.
