Akkineni Nagarjuna stepped a way ahead to support Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s pet project ‘Swachh Bharat’. After being nominated as an ambassador for the campaign, Nagarjuna launched a website to create awareness and involve public participation, on Sunday.
Nagarjuna went up to the steets with a broom to create awareness about the campaign. Speaking at the occasion, he said, “This is not an act of one time event, it is a translation of my pledge to keep neighbourhood clean, create many more ambassadors and collaborate with likeminded people across the region to expand and sustain ‘Swachh Bharat’ movement”.
Nag urged people to use dustbins regularly and to clean the garbage on streets. He suggested people to keep surrounding clean and hygienic to live a healthy life.
Nagarjuna launched his website www.nag4swachhbharat.org and aimed to create micro level ambassadors to organize ‘Swachh Bharat’ events. Nag nominated actors Sudeep, Allu Arjun and Badminton ace Pullela Gopichand to take up the challenge of Swachh Bharat.
