Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and the chief of Telugu Desam Party Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday revealed his ambitions to play a vital role at the national level. He expressed his will to expand TDP’s base in other states to attain the status of a national party.
Naidu was speaking at the inauguration of party’s general body meeting in Vijayawada. He said that the party’s performance in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana is extremely well, and it should now reach to other states to gain the ‘national party’ status.
Attacking the TRS indirectly, Naidu said that some people from the newly formed state are unable to digest the increasing power of TDP in the region and are allegedly attempting to destabilize the party.
He further said that TDP is committed for the welfare of Telugu people in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
