“Naidu emptying Treasury”

Nara-Chandrababu-NaiduContinuing with a low budget Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has been emptying the State Treasury. He has been named as ‘costly babu ‘ by the Opposition. Chandrababu Naidu spends crores of money for personal expenditure without compromising even as the State has been running with deficit budget. AP government has been begging the Centre for funds. He spends crores like water for private visits, receptions in secretariat and camp office.

Rs 100 Cr SO FAR

So far he has spent public funds to the tune of Rs 100 crore in 11 months and most of that for programmes in camp office and jets. A new camp office is coming up in place of Irrigation circle office in Vijayawada at a cost of Rs 21.30 crore. So far 6.30 crore has been released. And Rs 7 crore was spent earlier to convert the lake view guest house into the camp office, which he uses once in a week. For his office in H block in secretariat Rs 15 crore was spent. He vacated it for Vaastu reasons and shifted to floors 7 and 8 in L block and Rs 20 crore was spent for renovation. Rs 5 was incurred for new lifts in the L block.

HOUSE RENT TOO

Naidu pays a rent of Rs 2 lakhs monthly for his rented house as shifted from his own house in Jubilee Hills. The expenditure did not stop at that. In 11 months he visited Singapore twice, Japan, Dawos and China once. Ministers, officers and other staff also went along with him in private planes. Rs 15 crore was spent by the State till February for his overseas tours. Government spent Rs 7 crore for February and March tours. The April  bill  has not yet come. He plans US visit shortly. Further, government programme and meetings were held in districts instead of at head quarters. Collectors’ conference in Vijayawada, Independence day in Kurnool and investors’ meet in Visakhapatnam were arranged. State incurred heavy expenditure due to officers’ tours and hotel stay and so on.
