After KCR asked his officials to make an arrangement for a double-engine ‘best possible’ helicopter. The very next day, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Chandrababu Naidu has asked the state officials make arrangements of a Helicopter or an airplane for him.
As of now, Naidu travels either by road or hire a helicopter.
A senior state official said, “He flies in a passenger flight to the nearest airport and then, goes by road on most occasions”.
It ‘s been expensive for the state to hire a private chopper everytime. “That’s the reason why Naidu wants to buy the best available helicopter for his district tours,” the official said.
Another official from the CMO has confirmed that Naidu instructed them to find a chopper or an airplane. He said, “Though the CM has asked officials to prepare plans for procuring a new helicopter as he needs it to shuttle between Hyderabad and AP districts, he is worried that buying an expensive chopper for himself might give scope for criticism as the State has empty coffers. Hence, he wants to buy the chopper after some time”.
