The control room of the state police of Andhra Pradesh that was operative from Hyderabad till now has been shifted to Vijayawada. Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated the Police Control Room and also flagged off to the FIR at the doorstep vehicle.
Speaking at the moment, the Commissioner of City Police Vijayawada said that the all the calls made to the emergency number 100 will now directly be received at Vijayawada and later distributed to the respective wings in the state. “The calls dialled to 100 would now be routed through the new control room delinking the Hyderabad connection”, informed AB Venkateswara Rao, Commissioner of City Police.
Three special computers at the control room that receive and record the calls and the complete information related to it.
Naidu also inaugurated the FIR at doorstep service in the city through which the complainant can ask for a FIR vehicle to come at the doorstep to launch complaint.
