Naidu questions need for Rs 2000 note

chandrababu-naiduAP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has asked the Centre to reconsider the decision of releasing the currency note of denomination of Rs 2000/ as notes of higher denomination would enhance the risk of fake currency. “Is it necessary to bring Rs 2000/ note at all? I don’t know. I am for abolition of notes of higher denomination. I asked for scrapping of Rs 500/ and Rs 1000/ notes. SO, I don’t support this (Rs 2000/) either” he said in Vijayawada. Naidu, whose party Telugu Desam is a partner in Central coalition, has welcomed the Centre’s decision to ban the bigger notes. There may be problems initially but every thing will subside in due course, he felt.
