A high level delegation from Japan on Wednesday met the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh in Hyderabad with various proposals including development of the capital city of AP in Guntur-Vijayawada region as a smart city.
The delegation included members from Japan External Trade Organisation, Japan Bank for International Cooperation, New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organisation, Japan International Cooperation Agency and officials of Japan Embassy.
The delegation also proposed development of three power projects in the state with the total power generating capacity of 10,000 MW.
The delegation also invited the CM to visit Japan to witness the facilities available in the smart cities in the country. Naidu immediately agreed to visit Japan and a schedule has been announced. Naidu will visit Japan in the last week of November.
