Narendra Modi meets Barack Obama

obama Obama hosted a private dinner for Prime minister Narendra Modi yesterday. Both will hold summit level talks today to reset stalled India-US relations.

Modi described the meet as ‘wonderful’ after his dinner. The first talks between the two delegates was described as “convivial and comforting” by the Ministry of External Affairs spokeperson Syed Akbaruddin.

The dinner was attended by very few selected delegates. First lady too missed the dinner as she was travelling. The Dinner might have had a wide spread of dishes, but the main guest only had warm water as he was observing his Nav Ratri Fast. Narendra Modi did ask Obama to carry on as usual with the Dinner.

The meeting did give a strong impression that the Indo-US relationship is the most important relationship which the world is looking at. This meeting will help strengthen both India and US in fighting Terrorism and overall growth.

On a personal note, PM Narendra Modi gifted the latest edition of Gita to President Barack Obama.
