Nepal grateful to India: New envoy

Nepal Earthquake Economy-5The new Nepalese Ambassador Deep Kumar Upadhyay said Nepal is grateful for the swift action by the Government of India. He said Nepal has been struggling to come to terms with the devastation caused by the earthquake. The support and sympathy of the government and people of India is a great source of strength for Nepal, said Upadhyay. Upadhyay presented credentials to the President on April 30, at Rashtrapati Bhavan. In a meeting following the credentials ceremony, President Pranab Mukherjee said that the Ambassador was assuming office at a difficult timel. The devastating earthquake has uprooted the life of a large number of people with huge casualties and tremendous suffering.
