On Sunday, in a swift operation K. Chandrasekhar Rao, Telangana Chief Minister dismissed Deputy Chief Minister Dr T. Rajaiah from his eight-month old Cabinet. Mr Rao’s recommendation to terminate Dr Rajaiah was accepted by Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan.
On the same day he replaced that vacancy seat (new Deputy Chief Minister) by appointing Warangal MP Kadiam Srihari. On Sunday evening at a brief ceremony held at Raj Bhavan, Mr Narasimhan supervised the oath of office and secrecy to Mr Srihari, who will be minister of education.
The medical and health ministry, which was attendant looked after by Dr Rajaiah, has been given to minister Dr C. Laxma Reddy who was maintaining the energy portfolio. K. Education minister, Jagadeeswara Reddy will now be the new energy minister. Dr Rajaiah scampered the Raj Bhavan ceremony and remained confined to his residence
