New digital platform begins

unnamed (2)Union Minister, Information & Broadcasting, Arun Jaitley launched the Headend In The Sky (HITS) digital platform under NXT DIGITAL promoted by Hinduja Group. The launch would allow consumers to access to over 500 channels of their choice – international, national, regional and local; besides e-applications and TV everywhere. Customers in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Punjab and Karnataka will have greater access to channels of their choice. It is expected to propel the Digital India and Make in India mission. The back-end technology is based on sophisticated and complex architectures for television access on mobiles and tablets and information dissemination to laser-targeted localities by agencies for emergency alerts. NXT DIGITAL Broadcast Centre is a state-of-the-art next-generation MPEG-4 facility designed to provide services to cable distribution fraternity and customers. It is future-proof, offers enhanced television experiences while allowing cable fraternity to manage networks effortlessly with a minimal investment.
