NGOs set up cold water camps

TY18BUTTERMILK_1058022fIn the wake of current heat wave playing havoc with the lives of the people there is seen a silver living as some non-government organisations came forward to set up cold water camps along with free butter milk packets around the city to rinse your throat. And this is a free service offered. People from all walks of life including bus conductors, drivers, auto men found this as a god send gift in order to neutralise the scorching heat which has been taking its toll by the day. Each camp offers 30 to 50 litres of water and 20 litres of butter milk, according to the organisers. They also said that the State Government must volunteer to establish such centres in the interest of the poor as they were reeling under the impact of the powerful solar rays and the southwest hot winds blowing across the State.
