T Srinivasa Rao who is a NIT Warangal Director Prof inaugurated the workshop.
He said that interaction among faculty of NITs is important for sharing ideas to promote best practices.
He also said that to organize industry lectures across NITs for knowledge transfer which would help new NITs.
The delegates discussed on various curriculum components and tried to suggest a range of credits for a program. On Tuesday deliberations would continue and a report would be submitted at the end.
Deans from 16 NITs are participating in the workshop. The delegates were made to work in groups on a given topic related to curriculum. Heads of various departments and some Senior Professors of NIT Warangal are also taking part.
The meeting was expected to come up with recommendations for considerations by the MHRD.
This workshop is expected to facilitate participation of industry along with research and development experts in the teaching and learning process.
The group workshops were conducted by G. Venkat Reddy, CB Kameswara Rao, IAK Reddy, DVSS Siva Sarma, Madhu Murthy and NVSN Sarma acted as facilitators.
