After almost 23 years, the political stalwarts of Bihar, Lalu Prasad Yadav and Nitish Kumar will share the dais on Monday while rallying in Hajipur and MohadiNagar.
The two former CM’s of Bihar had been political rival for more than 20 years, but, in the bye-elections for 10 assemblies is on the way, the rivals decided to unite to stop BJP from another sweeping in the state, as it did in the general elections this year.
Congress is the third element of this alliance with RJD and JD(U). Of the 10 seats going for poll, RJD and JD(U) are contesting four each while Congress on two seats.
The two leaders are expected to address at least five rallies together in the next few days.
Mr Kumar and Mr Yadav were once prominent young leaders in the Janata Party in the 1970s before launching their own political parties.
