No ex-gratia for 2007 victims

2008082658970301_420091gThe Lumbini park and Gokul chat Bandar explosions in Hyderabad in 2007 claimed 42 lives and 70 were injured but so far the victims’ families have not received the ex-gratia as Rs 5 lakhs for kin of dead and Rs 20,000 for injured and free medical treatment was announced. Besides, government offered a job for the family if the head of the family died in the blast. Three charge-sheets were filed against seven terrorists and three of them Aniq Shafiq, Akbar Ismail Choudary, Ansar Ahmed Shaik were caught by the Mumbai police and handed over to Hyderabad police. They agreed that Riyaz Bathkal alias Roshan Khan was the master mind behind the Lumbini, Gokul blasts but he escaped. The other main accused Iqbal Bathkal alias Mohammed Bhai, Farooq Sharfuddin Tharkash alias Abdullah, Mohammed Sadiq Ansar Ahmed Shaik alias Yaseer, Ameer Raza Khan alias Muttaki are at large.
