Hyderabad High Court has categorically directed the Andhra Pradesh government not to do any harm to the top maoist leader Akkiraju Hargopal alias RK, who is said to be in the captivity of grey hounds police.
The court has said- “ Even though he (RK) is a maoist, he is an Indian and life is precious whether he is a naxal or common man. If he is alive, the police should immediately produce him in the Court”.
The court has asked the AP government whether RK is alive to which the counsel of AP said he was not arrested at all.
The bench reacted to the lunch motion petition by Ms Sirisha alias Padmakka, wife of RK, who moved it today demanding safety of her husband.
The judge has asked AP government to file an affidavit that RK was not in their custody. The case has been postponed to Thursday.
