No pattern change for JEE Mains

jeeCBSE has announced broad schedule of Joint Entrance Examination – Main (JEE Main 2017) for admission into first year BE, B Tech and B Arch courses..
Application Form will be filled and submitted only through online mode.
The JEE Main exam will be conducted on 2nd April 2017 for offline mode and 8th and 9th April, 2017 for online mode.
Application form will be available from 1st December, 2016 and the last date to fill the application form will be 2nd January, 2017.
There are two important points. Unlike in the past , no weightage will be given for Class XII (Intermediate) marks in calculating the ranks of JEE Main.
75% marks in Intermediate or Class XII or be in the top 20 percentile of the Intermediate or Class XII is a must.
For admission into IITs, i.e. JEE Advanced will be issued later after the results of JEE Mains.
For JEE Main, there will be two papers viz Paper I and Paper II.
Paper I will be for BE B Tech programmes and Paper II for B Arch programme.
Paper I will be for 360 marks (120 each for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics). Each paper will have thirty questions and the time given will be two-and-half years.

Tentative dates of JEE Main 2017:

Notification release – 18th November 2016
Application form begins – 1st December 2016
Application form end – 2nd January 2017
Correction in application form – Third week of January 2017
Admit card release – First week of March 2017
Offline exam date – 2nd April 2017
Online exam date – 8th and 9th April 2017
Results : within 30 days of exam
