Senior Congress leader from Telangana, Jaipal Reddy has said that he is not part of the race to head the regional Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee. Speaking to media at Hyderabad over news of him being in strong contention for the post, Jaipal Reddy has said that decisions about his future, including where he should contest from, will be taken by the Congress Central leadership.
He has also reiterated that it is the unflinching resolve of Sonia Gandhi that resulted in the realization of Telangana. He chose to advise TRS on the occasion to not declare candidates from any areas unilaterally as the issue of tie ups is still under discussion. He has also revealed that most of the Congress ground force is feeling that it will be better to go to polls alone. Yet the issue is solely a decision of the high command, he declared.

Digvijay has also said that the central leadership has decided to have separate committees to both regions of the state, which will be announced in a couple of days.
