Not to Grant Permission on the New Engineering Colleges

not-parmisiton-egineering-cHyderabad: The government has decided to shoot a mission to the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) asking them not to grant permissions for setting up the colleges of Engineering .The government wants to apprise AICTE and the MHRD about the decline of engineering education standards in the state.

“Number of students clearing Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test, seats available and seats falling vacant after admissions will be stated in the letter. If the Centre gives permissions, we are not in a position to handle the situation”, said. A top official of education department said without taking up necessity study of new colleges.

According to AICTE sources in the wake of decision which dis-affiliate 143 colleges the number colleges applying for closure would go up.
“This year we have not received single application from the managements for opening of new colleges”, AICTE said.
