Now an app to help you avoid people you don’t like!

A new application says it will help you in avoiding people by alerting you about their proximity if you want to avoid facing them. You can put a proximity alert for as small distance as one or two blocks or as wide as couple of miles.

Named “Cloak”, probably in reference to mythical invisibility cloaks, is developed by technicians Brian Moore and Chris Baker. The app will pull information from social apps like Foursquare or Instagram and will display your location and the location of your friends. If you select to ‘flag’ a person, the app will alert you when that person comes into a certain radius around you, helping you to avoid meeting him in the physical world.

Information from moer social media application might be integrated in the future, which may not include twitter, says the company. Developer Chris Baker said: “I think we’ve seen the crest of the big social network … I think anti-social stuff is on the rise. You’ll be seeing more and more of these types of projects.”
