NRI makes history in head surgery

Tony-CowanFirst step for the head transplantation has commenced like others in transplanting heart, liver etc. In future head transplantation will be made. This was made possible by a doctor of Indian origin. Indian origin neuro-surgeon in Britain Ananth Kamat made history in the medical field by conducting a surgery and joined head and spinal chord. Tony Cowan who belongs to New Castle on September 9, met with a ghastly accident when he was speeding in his car, which dashed against a pole. He suffered a cardiac arrest. He was admitted to a hospital and was treated. He survived but he received a heavy head injury which separated his head from the spinal chord. Then Kamath operated on his patient. Ananth fixed metal sheets, bolts and restored the head to its original place.
